The Government of Canada announced its 2015 Federal Budget on April 21st. The Budget responds directly to the priority issues of Canada’s manufacturing sector, most notably an extension of the Accelerated Capital Cost Allowance through 2026, $65 million over four years to industry associations to develop integrated education initiatives with Canadian colleges and universities and a new Automotive Supplier Innovation Program, allocating $100 million over five years to support product development and technology demonstration by Canadian auto parts suppliers.
