General Dynamics Land Systems secures LAV order

Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters applauds the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC) and the Minister of International Trade for boosting the manufacturing sector in southern Ontario.

CCC was instrumental in facilitating a government-to-government contract with Peru for delivery of 32 Light Armoured Vehicles (LAVs) for the Peruvian Marine Corps, an International Trade release announced on July 24.

The London, ON-based advanced manufacturers, with a healthy Canadian supply chain, expects delivery of the vehicles to begin in mid-2015.

"Our government will continue to support our exporters in order to create jobs and opportunities in every region of the country," said Minister of International Trade Ed Fast in the release. "Canada's pro-trade plan delivers on another export win."

A trade mission to Peru and Columbia, priority markets for Canada under our Global Markets Action Plan will take place from Aug 10-15.
