Feds extend spam consultation deadline

Published by Steve Coleman on August 26, 2011

The Canadian Radio-television Communications & Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) has extended its deadline to hear from people affected by its Electronic Commerce Protection Regulations.

The proposed regulations set out requirements for sending commercial electronic messages (CEMs) including the form, information to be included and specifics for the request for consent.

CME is collecting input from members and will be submitting a response.

To be engaged on this new regulation, please contact paul.clipsham@cme-mec.ca or by phone at 289-566-9538. Comments are due by Sept. 6. Please see the posting notice for details.
