Conference to look at North America-wide safety standards

Published by Steve Coleman on August 26, 2011

A two-day U.S. conference in September will look at harmonizing safety standards North America-wide.

The first North America Consumer Product Safety Summit will look at ways that industry, continent-wide, can and should work closer together on safety standards.

Panel sessions also include examples of what other companies have done to ensure their safety solutions fit into NAFTA provisions and the Asian export market.

Plans also call for a new memorandum of understanding to be signed at the end of the Sept. 26-27 conference.
