Canadian Manufacturing Coalition hosts inaugural Manufacturing Day at Queen's Park

Published by Brad Fougere on December 03, 2014

The Canadian Manufacturing Coalition’s (CMC) inaugural Manufacturing Day at Queen's Park was held December 2.

The event brought Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters members, and partners in the CMC, to actively engage MPPs on our priority issues and raise the profile of manufacturing in Ontario.

Collectively, 52 MPPs, including the Premier, 10 Ministers, 7 Parliamentary Assistants, 24 Critics from the NDP and Progressive Conservative parties and 2 Deputy Whips sat down on a variety of issues related to manufacturing and exporting in Ontario.

In addition, 10 Deputy Ministers and policy advisors from the Premier's office and the Ministry of Economic Development, Employment and Infrastructure were provided an update on the issues facing the nation's manufacturing heartland.

An evening Queen's Park reception brought together many of the participants for an evening of networking and socializing.
