Honda of Canada Mfg. is bringing a new vehicle to Canada for production for the first time.

The automaker plans to start mass producing the Honda CR-V at its Alliston, Ont. plant for the first time on Jan. 23.

The fourth-generation CR-V will roll out of the same facility as the Honda Civic. Starting this year, the company says 70 per cent of the Honda vehicles sold in Canada will be built in Canada.

Honda says, HCM Plant 2 will be the first site in North America to produce four distinct models on one line.
