Panel looks at border post-9/11 border issues

Published by Steve Coleman on August 31, 2011

Three current and former U.S. Customs and Border Protection commissioners will be part of a live webcast looking at the American perspective on border issues.

The hour-long discussion on Sept. 9 will look at how the issue of border security has evolved since the airborne terrorist attacks on the U.S.

Panel members include commissioner Alan Bersin, former commissioners Robert Bonner and Ralph Basham and Professor Bruce Hoffman of Georgetown University. The American federal government consolidated the previous border-related agencies into a single body in 2003.
