Revenues up for service sector

Statistics Canada says that, in most cases, revenue was up for the country's service sector for both the fourth quarter of 2011 and the year as a whole.

Businesses ranging from garbage collection to engineering brought in more money than the previous year. How much depends on the industry.

The latest figures are for fourth-quarter results in six of the 22 service industry categories the government tracks.
