Multiple entry visas will boost business with China: CME

Published by Brad Fougere on March 08, 2015

Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME) welcomed the announcement, by international Trade Minister Ed Fast on March 8, that Canadians will be allowed ten-year multiple entry visas into China.

"In today's globally networked environment, and perhaps now more than ever, companies succeed in international business by building person-to-person relationships," said Jayson Myers, CME's President & CEO. "That is especially true in China. Long-term multiple entry visas will expedite business travel between our two countries."

Myers also said the announcement is an important one for Canadian businesses looking to diversify their export markets.

"It will help Canadian companies grow their business with the world's second latest economy and Canada's second largest trading partner. It will be good for our manufacturers and exporters, for the Canadian economy and for the many Canadians whose incomes and jobs depend on a strong export sector."
