Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters join other business groups to push new internal trade agreement ahead of First Ministers meeting

In addition to an op-ed published April 7 in the Financial Post, Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters, along with The Canadian Chamber of Commerce, Canadian Council of Chief Executives, Canadian Federation of Independent Business, Certified General Accountants, Dairy Processors Association of Canada and Restaurants Canada have written a joint letter to all First Ministers in Canada urging a reworked Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT).

Included with the letter is a discussion paper titled A new vision for interprovincial trade in Canada: A business agenda for strengthening Canada's economic union. The paper urges Canada's First Ministers to agree
