US retail sales rise

US residents beat the market predictions at the market in March.

RBC Economics says retail data for the month shows a 0.8 per cent growth in March 2012 based on higher vehicle and vehicle parts sales. Minus the automotive component, sales were still up 0.8 per cent for the month and 0.9 per cent and 1.2 per cent gains in February and January, respectively.
