Modular home maker builds western plant

An Oka, QC-based modular housing maker has plans for Calgary.

Okaply Industries says it plans to open a new factory to serve the western Canadian market.

Changes are also in store for with the Montreal-area plant after a loan from Investissement Quebec. The government load will help the firm bring in a moulding wrapper and a large robot to feed the lamination line. The company also purchased a lamination line for the Calgary plant.
