American defence contractor Mercury Computer Systems has added two new divisions as a late Christmas present to itself.

The Chelmsford, Mass. defence contractor purchased KOR Electronics and its wholly owned subsidiary, Paragon Dynamics, Inc., for cash on Dec. 30, 2011.

The addition of the KOR to the Mercury family will add electronic warfare (EW), digital RF memory technology and electronic counter measure/target simulators to the mix. KOR also produces electronic warfare simulation systems.

Paragon Dynamics does systems engineering, software engineering and mission engineering for US government agencies like the department of defence, the intelligence community and the Department of Homeland Security.
