“Mexico is recognized by Canadian companies as a key country to expand their operations in the global markets,” Myers said. “CME will support the identification of business opportunities, as well as the connection of Canadians manufacturers and exporters with the right partners and customers in Mexico.”

The bilateral meetings, organized under CME’s GoGlobal banner, included the Governor of Queretaro, Jose Calzada, ProMexico’s Director General Francisco N. González, as well as leaders from the automotive and aerospace industries, representatives from the Industrial Chamber of Queratero, Universidad Mondragon and the Mexican exporters association.

“The dynamism of the Mexican economy represents large opportunities for Canadian manufacturers and service providers in the areas of advanced manufacturing, including automotive and aerospace industries, logistics and the transfer of Canadian knowledge and expertise,” said Myers.

CME’s Go Global strategy in Mexico includes a coordination of efforts between CME’s Mexico division and the Canadian Embassy, Canadian Chamber of Commerce, Trade Commissioner Service and Export Development Canada offices in Mexico.
