Michelin and Nova Scotia to provide $73 million investment in manufacturing jobs

Michelin Canada and the provincial government of Nova Scotia today announced the investment of $73 million in the province's Waterville truck tire plant -- a plan that will create 50 new manufacturing jobs in the Annapolis Valley.

Premier Darrell Dexter and Michelin president Dana Leblanc announced the plant will be expanding its location size and workforce to accommodate increased production and equipment improvements. Totalling $73 billion, the company, which manufactures large truck tires at its Waterville plant, will provide $61.4 million into the project, with $8.9 million coming from the province.
