More Canadians endorse than reject Northern Gateway

Published by Steve Coleman on January 25, 2012

A Sun Media poll says Canadians are more likely to favour than oppose Enbridge's Northern Gateway pipeline project.

The poll done for QMI Agency says 38 per cent of those asked liked the idea of the pipeline linking Alberta's oil patch with a northern B.C. tanker terminal. Twenty-nine per cent of those asked said they were against the idea.

Support for the proposed pipeline was strongest in Alberta and weakest in Quebec.

A full third of respondents said they had no opinion.
