Bell faces second class action suit

Published by Steve Coleman on January 11, 2012

The door has been opened to a class action suit against Bell Expressvu for charging 42.58 per cent annual interest rates on overdue satellite television accounts.

The communications company raised its rates 58 per cent on June 1, 2010 from its old rate of 26.82 per cent.

This class action concerns all persons who have paid late fees to Bell Expressvue for television services since the rate change was introduced.

This new class action follows the legal certification of another class action suit against Bell Canada and Bill Mobility Inc. for its decision to start charging 42.58 per cent annual interest on overdue phone bills.
