Canada, Virginia sign beef deal

Eastern Canadian cattle farmers have a new source for their herds.

A new import deal with the US will allow Virginia producers to sell cattle directly to Eastern Canadian producers without having to go through middlemen in other states first.

It was announced five shipments, each worth more than $75,000, are part of the deal.
