Future bright for Canadian exports

Published by Steve Coleman on October 31, 2011

Despite investor jitters, Export Development Canada is predicting things may not be that bad, after all, for this country's manufacturers and exporters.

EDC says Canada's overall economy will grow in the two per cent range both this year and next, while the current inventory of unfilled orders means manufacturers will be busy for a long time to come.

The only thing still posing a threat to further recovery is nervous investors, says a Globe & Mail story. Perception about the state of the economy is bad, but the numbers say something else, entirely.
